I've been obsessed with photo blogs lately. Mostly I keep looking at the pictures and thinking: Can I really live here?
- Uptown Mpls Blog is covered in snow and dreary. Hopefully it will warm up before my trip there next month.
- Nashville Daily Photo looks sunny and coffee-centric.
- Berkeley Daily Photo makes me nostalgic for the Bay Area. (Did I mention DH is applying for a job there? Starting salary is $80k, which probably still wouldn't be enough, but...)
- New York Daily Photo doesn't quite capture the crowds and claustrophobia I expected, but I like the photographer's editorials.
- Austin Daily Photo looks warm and fun.
- Chicago Daily Photo looks like, well, Chicago.
- Los Angeles Daily Photo continues to not intrigue me at all.
- Seattle Daily Photo looks artsy and outdoorsy.
- Images of Mexico City looks tempting for my next vacation.
I was unsuccessful at finding Philly or Portland photo blogs, and the Columbus one was disappointing. I'll just have to use my imagination.
.
UPDATE: Thanks, Innovative Traveler, for providing links to Portland (OR) Daily Photo and Philadelphia Daily Photo! I also failed to include Madison Daily Photo in my original list.

I'll drool over the Portland one with you....
I like the PDX and Madison photoblogs the best.

In my experience (a native Tennesseean who now lives in the Midwest), Nashville is indeed sunny and coffee-centric. I have really enjoyed my vists there. I just returned from a visit to my hometown, Memphis--you should consider it too. It's a smaller city, but culture is really booming there, and the cost of living is LOW.
God... thanks so much for that much needed bit of escapism. Just suffered a major financial set back this week - looks like we're stuck in the NE a bit longer than we had hoped.
The portland one doesn't seem to be working! And I love Portland. All the other major cities including Austin just didn't give enough reason to move yet. Maybe I'll be inspired again soon.
Really, SF Ordinary Girl? I just checked and it came up for me, but here's the URL just in case you still have problems:
